Sly Owl Ranch
Brand Identity, Website, and B2C Marketing
Overview
A founder-led brand for a wilderness yurt retreat and market garden in rural Idaho. I built the brand from the ground up, including visual identity, voice and tone, website content and structure, and ongoing customer-facing marketing, communications, and in-person brand presence.
My role
Co-owner, creative lead, and market garden manager. I developed the brand look and feel; wrote and structured the website; defined voice and messaging; and led B2C marketing and communications across web, email, and social. In parallel, I managed the working farm, growing produce, plants, and flowers for farmers market sales and harvesting seed for a regional seed cooperative, grounding the brand in lived experience and stewardship.
Intent
Create a grounded, trust-building brand that invited people into a quiet, nature-centered experience, clearly set expectations for guests, and helped produce and market customers understand the care, values, and practices behind the food they were buying.
Brand Foundation
Brand identity and foundational touchpoints, including the logo, were designed to feel
hand-drawn, rustic, and friendly, reflecting the energy and values of our working microfarm
and wilderness retreat yurt.
Digital Presence
The website, social channels, and online marketplace listings were cohesively designed to orient guests, set expectations, and reflect the welcoming, outdoor-focused on-site experience through consistent voice and visual tone.
Products & Market Presence
Whether at a summertime outdoor farmers market or indoor market in winter, our booth showcased the welcoming style and tone of the Sly Owl Ranch brand. To create a consistent and memorable experience, I carried the brand expression into our physical products, including packaging, labeling, and booth presentation for fresh produce, eggs, jams, herb blends, and seeds.
